A bushfire ravages the land, stripping it bare of vegetation, now irrelevant, no longer contributing to the cycle of life. The blackened landscape remains lifeless, charcoaled and redundant, from the very base of the earth to the end of the stubs from leftover tree-trunks. Still, dark, lifeless! Or is it?
Within a week, signs of life peek through, spattering the blackened landscape with fresh, resilient and iridescent-green shoots! They escape from the clutches of the earth amongst charcoal mounds and tree-trunks, displaying a sense of vibrancy and hope, while preparing to serve the cycle of life.
