How did 'Embers' become?

The impetus for ‘Embers of the World’ was two-fold:

• The gift of insight from both good and not-so-good personal times of a much-travelled individual
• An insatiable appetite for reflective and shared learning, social ‘making of meaning’ and self-initiated development and change.

 

The essence of today’s learning approach is to learn from, with and through others, taking what resonates with you and apply it in a way you choose!  This form of learning has its success in reflection, both individually and collectively. Thinking alone can align with intention, bound by restrictions and limitations. Thinking may also require consultation, which may overload and confuse meaning. Reflection on the other hand aligns with inspiration, yielding thoughts which have no bounds, and no timelines to meet.

‘Embers of the World’ supports the belief that all is connected, and that no one thing, nor one person, can exist in isolation – the young and the experienced, the weak and the strong, the bold and the beautiful, the Eastern and the Western, the Northern and the Southern. All travel the same continuum of change and personal discovery.
